2026 BCSSA Summer Leadership Conference (Members Only Event)August 19–21 | Fairmont Château WhistlerThe 2026 BCSSA Summer Leadership Conference invites district leaders from across British Columbia to gather in the inspiring setting of the Fairmont Château Whistler for three days of deep collaboration, bold thinking, and transformative dialogue. Anchored in the compelling theme “Fix the Past or Invent the Future,” this year’s conference challenges participants to move beyond incremental change and reimagine the possibilities for education in a rapidly evolving world. Featuring internationally renowned scholar Yong Zhao, the conference will spark critical conversations about the future of learning. Through his keynote and panel engagements, Zhao will provoke fresh perspectives, encouraging leaders to question long-held assumptions and embrace innovation, especially in the context of artificial intelligence and personalized learning. Participants will engage in dynamic formats including panel provocations, district reflections, and Wise Council protocols, designed to foster meaningful dialogue and collective sense-making. Together, leaders will explore practical, actionable strategies to personalize learning experiences, cultivate student greatness, and lead with courage in times of complexity.
